At Latitude, we know that skateboarding is a unique expression of each individual’s personality and creativity. Latitude Longboards strives to design high-quality boards that are bursting with style, and inspire others to get out and find their own style too.

Jim Thornton

Jim has been a skateboarder for over 45 years, having first discovered downhill longboarding after moving to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado at 20 years old. Since then, Jim has pursued gravity-fueled adventures every step of the way. During the winter Jim is a ski instructor, and when the snow melts he tests out the latest iteration of his dream longboard. All year long however, he is a dedicated husband, father, and citizen of the world.

Tony Thornton

Tony was on four wheels for as long as he can remember, having spent countless hours practicing kick-turns in the garage and driving his neighbors (and mother) crazy. Tony left his small town of Burnt Hills, NY in 2009 to earn an education in International Entrepreneurship. Finally after years of planning and dreaming, Tony has made Latitude Longboards a reality. In spite of his international diplomas, he will always be that optimistic, thrill-seeking kid from Burnt Hills, and is constantly on the lookout for the elusive “perfect run”.
